While at the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Graham Dyer came across the Sunday Pan lion pride. Two lionesses, one with her three young cubs, and single male lion were walking southwards from the pan.
But just as they passed the watering hole, the lead lioness caught a bat-eared fox. It had a pelvis and spine injury and was dragging its hindquarters behind itself while it was trying to stand.
